Terry Lyons grew up around maintenance and construction his entire life. His father was a superintendent on numerous commercial and industrial sites. Watching his father, Terry learned and admired the value of doing things the right way while taking care of customers. Pursuing his passion, Terry studied engineering and obtained his General Contractors’ license in Tennessee. He has worked on projects of all sizes, including the title of Project Manager on a $200 million assignment. After working for two of the nation’s largest firms, Terry decided to put his industry know-how and work ethic to better use and formed his own company. Today, TEKA provides area customers the ability to save money and maximize their resources through the knowledge and expertise that he brings to the table.
Karen Lyons joined TEKA in 2009. Prior to that, she worked for various companies and held positions of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Karen has expertise in payroll, tax, accounting and compliance. She holds an Executive Juris Doctorate degree from Concord University, and obtained both an MBA and a BBA from ETSU. Her vast work experience in the medical, construction and continuing care retirement community industries bring an added advantage to clients in these fields. She is also a licensed assisted living administrator in Tennessee.
